Carman Licciardello has had an unusually long career as a youth minister.  The 57 singer year-old relates to teenager on their level and has produced an impressive assortment of recordings, videos and movies.  But now cancer is threatening to take his life.

Carman recently announced on Facebook that he has myeloma.  It is a cancer of white blood cells, which normally produce anti-bodies.  This means myeloma compromises the immune system.

Carman reports he has begun the treatment process, which includes a bone marrow transplant.  Other than that, he does not seem to be slowing down.  Carman says he will keep on winning souls as long as he can.  His website shows he’s booked through July, when he’ll be ministering in Finland.

The award-winning Christian musician has sold over 10 million records.
