Have you ever noticed there’s less and less difference between America’s two largest political parties? The latest case in point is Congressman Paul Ryan whom Mitt Romney named as his running mate this past weekend.
Let’s take a look at Ryan’s record and you tell me how conservative he really is.
Ryan voted “Yes” on the misnamed Economic Stimulus Act of 2008. Sounds like something radical economist John Maynard Keynes would have approved in the 1930s.
Ryan voted “Yes” on making the misnamed Patriot Act permanent. Uh-oh, more airport strip searches and groping.
And Ryan voted “Yes” on allowing electronic surveillance without a warrant. You can see what he thinks of the Fourth Amendment.
Did I mention Paul Ryan is a Republican?
There’s just one word for Paul Ryan — RINO — Republican in Name Only.
