UN Anti-Gun Treaty in Limbo

Why is Obama looking so sad?  Normally he’s quite happy to hear about abortion, but not when it happens to one of his pet projects.

The current occupant of the White House was expecting a slam dunk where he would sign the UN Arms Trade Treaty this past Friday and quickly mesmerize — sorry, I mean convince — the Senate to confirm it.

Second Amendment advocates have warned it would take away our right to own guns and this time the Senate listened.  A bi-partisan group of 51 Senators decided to oppose the treaty if second amendment rights are not protected.

This caused a cascade effect.  First the US announced it needed more time for consideration.  Then Russia and China did the same thing.

Congratulations to those courageous Senators and to everyone who sounded the alarm.  But we probably have not heard the last of this.  Remember, the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
